Welcome to Cyla. We are committed to protecting your privacy and being transparent about how we handle your personal data. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, why we collect it, and how we use it when you download and use the Cyla mobile application (the "App") and any associated services.

By using Cyla, you agree to the practices described in this Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please discontinue use of the App.

We collect the minimum amount of information necessary to provide the App's features. This includes:

  • Email address (used to create and identify your account)
  • Subscription details you enter manually: service name, price, billing period, renewal date, and category

Information collected automatically:

  • Basic device information (operating system version, device type) for compatibility purposes
  • App usage data (feature interactions, crash reports) to improve stability and user experience
  • IP address, collected transiently during API requests and not stored long-term

We do not collect your bank account details, card numbers, or any financial credentials. All subscription data is entered manually by you.

3. How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect for the following purposes:

  • Account management: to create, maintain, and authenticate your account
  • Core functionality: to store and display your subscription list, calculate spending totals, and generate renewal reminders
  • Push notifications: to alert you before upcoming billing dates (only if you grant notification permissions)
  • Service improvement: to diagnose technical issues, fix bugs, and improve App performance

We do not use your data for advertising purposes and do not sell your personal information to third parties.

Aggregated, anonymized analytics data that cannot be linked back to you may be retained indefinitely for product improvement purposes.

Cyla is not directed at children under the age of 13 (or 16 in the European Economic Area). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you are a parent or guardian and believe your child has provided us with personal data, please contact us immediately at privacy@cyla.app and we will take steps to delete such information.

8. Security

We take the security of your data seriously. We implement industry-standard technical and organizational measures to protect your personal information against unauthorized access, disclosure, alteration, or destruction. These measures include:

  • Hashed authentication tokens — your raw credentials are never stored in plaintext
